About Me-

I am an artist living in my hometown of Warren, Maine. I work mostly traditionally and edit digitally.

I enjoy creating illustrations to bring stories to life for local authors & doing commissions (mostly pet portraits, but sometimes scenery, boats, houses, etc).

In 2018 I illustrated a small chapter book for a local author, Francine McEwen, who was self-publishing, titled In Search Of Earth. Also in 2018, I illustrated a picture book for a local author, Steven Powell, titled Moe Pea the Moose Grows Up. It was published through North Country Press in 2019. In 2022 I illustrated another book, which was published in 2023- a book titled Why Coyotes Don’t Wear Pants, written by Tammy Cloutier.

In 2017 I won the Union Fair poster contest, and in 2019 & again in 2022 I won the Windsor Fair poster contest. In 2023 I won a contest designing art to celebrate the town of Union’s 250th birthday.

When I'm not working on art, I work at an elementary school as an educational technician with a focus on math. I also work on and experiment with many other crafts in my spare time. Last summer I even taught children at a summer camp about the process of illustrating & helped them get started illustrating stories they had written.

I have taken Make Art That Sells - Illustrating Children’s Books course 3 times, and I have taken Nina Rycroft’s picture book course. I have taken a number of other courses on drawing, watercolor, picture book making, and character design. I’m always trying to better myself artistically.
